They make a big difference; there are a number of days in the spring and fall when I can get by with out turning on the A/C because of the ceiling fans. Make sure that you get quit ones for the bedrooms, even a little noise when you are trying to sleep can be annoying. Just remember that the ceiling fans need to be mounted on a special junction box that is attached to the supports in the ceiling. A junction box that is designed for just a light fixture won't be strong enough to support the fan when it is running. Greg |
