I installed a fan in our low-ceilinged un-air-conditioned house in CA and it made the hot nights significantly more comfortable. We have A/C now, but it doesn't do a great job with the upstairs, so I had a fan installed in the bedroom along with the new, higher ceiling. Is your bedroom upstairs? Have you checked out the A/C to make sure it cools as well as you like up there? That might influence your decision. It did ours. --fleg |
