I am new to this site and I have been looking at my 401K choices and trying to determine my best allocation.

I am currently putting my money into the following (I am 29 yrs old).

25% Putnam S&P 500 Index (Large Cap)(10 yr 10.93%)
25% Dodge & Cox Stock Fund (Value)(10 yr 15.43%)
25% Columbia Acorn USA Fund Z (Small & Mid Cap)(10 yr 14%)
25% Artisan Mid Cap Fund (Mid Cap) (5 yr 14.24%)

Does this allocation weigh to heavily in the Mid Cap range? Would another allocation make more sense?

My other choices include Putnam international index, PIMCO Total return, Putnam balanced fund, and a capital preservation fund.

The 401K does not charge fees for making allocation changes.

Thanks for helping a rookie!
