There are nice places in the Midwest and the South and probably other regions, where you could buy a house that size for maybe $50K. (Yes there are some nice places in these regions, like some collage towns I have seen.) Greg But then you would be in the Midwest or South instead of the Best Coast. I have the same problem, except I have a 3000 sf Victorian in L.A. I love the area, the weather, and the fact that it's not Somewere Else. cliff
