Okay, I'm a CPA, but clearly I'm confused. I've never heard of companies paying dividends to creditors. My understanding is that dividends are a distribution of earnings to owners, i.e. stockholders.
Can someone point me to a link that explains why bond holders would receive dividends?
I tried to google "bond dividend" and I'm getting a bunch of sales sites that discuss distributions to bond holders, but not dividends per se.
Always wanting to learn.
