The secret to a happy retirement is make sure you worked for the govenrment and maxed out your benefits.

At the current time I would say there are no other secrets worth mentioning, the other stuff being common sense.

First of all, I didn't think that this was the "Political Asylum" Board, and secondly, since you brought it up, I get a little p.....-off when people put down a whole segment of this country (Government Workers) for reasons most had nothing to do with and will not benefit from.

Governments, on all levels, are primarily made up of hard working people with families to take care of - just like you and me. Most are under-paid and under-appreciated. If there is a problem that needs addressing, I recommend you and your Mr. Greenhut do so with your elected officials and see what you can do to resolve the situation, could apply for one of the government positions you are talking about.

Just don't bash all government workers!
