I e-filed my taxes in early February. Today I got a letter from the "audit" division of the Alabama Department of Revenue requesting that I mail in paper copies of my W-2s. No reason was given. They are in the mail, and I'm hoping Alabama clears things up quickly because I'm due a refund. Is it common for a state (or the IRS for that matter) to request paper copies of W-2s? I didn't have problems with my federal taxes, at least as far as I've already long since gotten my refund. Hmm. FFL |
