The annuity salesman typically takes about 8% of the amount you invest as his commission. That's why you've been hearing so much about Equity Indexed annuities -- they're a high profit item for those who pedal them.

Just think how much that 8% means to folks who really need every dollar they have in order to retire, and what do they get for that 8%? Nothing, nothing at all. Add the annual fees that get tacked onto these investments and you've got a real flimflam, also know as fraud.
