Right. Or maybe even work for 25-30 years at something they don't like, and spend the next 15-20 doing XYZ for low pay. That's closer to the track I'm looking at.

One catch is, you mightn't have considered XYZ until you're halfway through your decent-paying but not-so-rewarding career. The stuff I plan to volunteer at after retirement, I wouldn't have believed at the beginning of my working career.
