I appreciate the response.....I see the separation between the GP and LP but if the IPO is intended to provide dollars for potential purchases, etc, I would expect to want to own the GP not ARLP.
I have not seen a benefit accruing to ARLP(LP).
They will trade side by side on the NASDAQ, The GP will have no cashflow for a period of time and depends on ARLP.
They will have cash from the IPO but have to put it to work.
The GP has a stranglehold on the distributions as it is.
