What about watching streaming video? One of the reasons we are thinking about this is my wife seems to be needing to watch such stuff more often, and it would make life easier to do it from home. Is DSL good enough. Dial-up is a no go even for music.

Depends what video - answer: pretty likely yes. But its worth checking out. Go to the site of whoever streams the video. What bandwidth do they say the video needs?

Also, just on the off chance, make sure there's a 30 day money back guarantee or something. Satisfaction guarantee or the like. May be a bit of a pain, but worth it on the off chance its not fast enough.
