What ever happend to the idea of taking care of your own problems?
Liberals killed that idea.
And here I thought it might have had something to do with the Great Depression, when that perfect "free market" you so adore was unable to find work for 30% of the population - at any price (can't blame the minimum wage for that.)
When people can't eat they really won't care about your precious market, or the second amendment, or how many Senators the Constitution says there should be, they'll do something drastic, as the Czar found out, and Ms. Antoinette and countless others who just thought people should "take care of their own problems."
Looking at the results of the 1917 revolution, the accelerating membership in the Communist party, the growing ranks of labor unions, some people decided that perhaps they should actually do something, rather than sit back and tsk tsk tsk about those poor, starving people who should just take care of themselves, if only they weren't so damned lazy.
