Dan, Perhaps an IM or better yet 'Google talk' add on would be useful. When you click on a stock selection (say EBAY) you get a little pop up box saying: Fools: XXXX YYYYY ZZZZZ Also hold EBAY in CAPS and are currently on-line. Care to commiserate? Hmmm.....instead of a message board for each stock like the current Fool (Old Fool?), CAPS stock pages would have IM based boards (with voice, gotta have voice). With a blog feature for a portfolio (and holdings within), voice messaging, as well as a watchlist option; I could easily see investment clubs like NAIC set up portfolios on CAPS. They would post commentaries / proposals for existing and future holdings, then meet on-line to discuss the portfolio via Webex and /or Google talk built on or around their CAPS page. Maybe even investment newsletters of the future would use their CAPS scores in their advertising. (Who needs Zeitgeist when we have a future to look forward to?) Sorry, Dan, if you were hoping to hold onto some semblance of a family life. Zz P.S. - Anyone know where on the river I can park my van and still get wireless access? |
