I am curious why income investor recommends ARLP rather than the general partner, AHGP. Although the GP's yield is less, with the incentives it owns, the future distribution growth for the GP is projected to be markedly higher. On the other hand, the unit value of the LP has grown over the past 5 years, while the GP has declined.

I recently sold KMP and am contemplating ARLP as a replacement.

Any thoughts?
