INTRO Here's my semi-annual exercise to see if I remember why I own the stocks I own. I post it in case it helps others too.

Gaiam is transitioning from a speculation into an investment, at least in my eyes, as they demonstrate profitability. At least that is the plan. I like the fact that they are diversified across retail and whoiesale, food, clothes, equipment, and many of the things that aid sustainable living. This is as much an investment in an industry and a trend as in any particular company.

GAIA is a relatively pure play. I think it is overlooked and will receive attention after it demonstrates quarter to quarter and year to year profit growth. Unfortunately, I haven't seen any market growth estimates, so my assessment is more hueristic than rigorous. I would probably buy more if I found some cash and got some data before the stock takes off - assuming it does of course.

DISCLAIMER LTBH since 2006, so I am just getting started on this one.
