I would suggest you head over to the Self-Employed Fools board to discuss taxes further. Employer social security is 15.9% alone for the self-employed. My taxes run 35% - 40% by the time all state taxes are included etc...Of course I do get some nice business deductions too, but still...

It's good you have a start on taxes - most people don't even do that - but you should be careful to set aside the right amount so you don't have a big scary miserable end of fiscal year.
