That place has the highest taxes in the country and snow up to your ying-yang. ;o) Actually, according to this article http://articles.moneycentral.msn.com/Taxes/Advice/TheBestAndWorstStatesForTaxes.aspx we're sixth. As for snow, it hasn't reached my ying-yang since 1978. ;-) (In general, snow tends to be worse in places like Minnesaota, Wisconsin, and even Iowa.) In all seriousness - I stay because I like the culture, and because the flora and fauna feel familiar and homey (I grew up here). I'm not interested in shaking that up for my retirement - I'll happily work longer, if necessary, so I can stay put. I'm lucky that DH has the same goal (we may actually have discussed it before we got married!). YMMV. I don't expect anyone else to feel the same way. -lizmonster LOL!
