Forgot to mention that Scottrade has no annual fee or maintenance fee for an IRA which is why I switched to Scottrade from anther brokerage that had started charging me fees. I think they refer to Scottrade as a "discount broker" and some people would rather have a "full service broker" where you would have more services and pay more - just something to keep in mind. Others on this board will be able to fill you in more than I can I'm sure.

Scottrade has $7 trades except for the NTF Mutal Funds - I think they charge $17 for those - you can check it out on their website.
