Maybe, maybe not. I still don't think we're looking at the root cause here.
We can talk about how we pay for it and who pays for it all we want, and that is an important thing. But until we get at the root cause -- health care inflation regularly exceeding overall inflation and GDP growth by a large margin -- talking about who pays and how to pay for it is like rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic.
The runaway freight train that is health care inflation needs to be slowed down and brought under control first. Only then can a change in how we deliver and pay for health care be sustainable.
