Yes, the TSP is pretty much equivalent to the 401k, so advice for one is usually good for the other. I hear that some companies 401k's allow holding individual stocks instead of the G, C, S, I, and L options we have. I would certainly recommend following the advice about allocating to TSP until you get your match, then ROTH IRAs for each of you, then if you can spare more to save, put it back into TSP. Cindy |
