So, since we're talking about a system for everyone in the country, not just you, what's your plan for dealing with the next situation that resembles the one that gave us Social Security in the first place, when there were also people who resembled you and didn't need any help? Coming to this thread quite late..... My plan would be the same as what got us through the first 150 years of being a country and basically the first 350 years of living colonizing this continent: a good dose of personal responsibility and self reliance.
