I am currently retired, and over 59 1/2. I have a rollover IRA. If I pass away, does my spouse (who will inherit my assets) have to pay taxes on the IRA? If she passes away or we both pass away at the same time, do my children (who would inherit the assets) need to pay taxes on the IRA? Is it advisable to annually shift money out of the IRA to a non IRA account -- i.e. more than the minimum requirement as of age 70 1/2? Thanks.
