I really do NOT understand your complaint. The top says the date. The bottom has the following disclaimer:

This forum and the information provided here should not be relied on as a substitute for independent research to original sources of authority. The Motley Fool does not render legal, accounting, tax, or other professional advice. If legal, tax, or other expert assistance is required, the services of a competent professional should be sought. In other words, if you get audited, don't blame us.

You wana blame them? You did not read the top. You did nor read the bottom.

What did you read?

As I stated, I did see the very old date, but this was after a Google search took me directly to the article, so only after reading the article and becoming suspicious did it find the main page and disclaimer. My point is I have come to respect and trust the Motley Fool and finding this outdated information clearly bothered me. How hard is it to review this once a year and purge old tax information. Sure, you can rely on some silly disclaimer to cover your ass, but why not just to the right thing and clean it up? That was all I was saying, but I respect your need to defend their odd policy or laziness as it may be.
