If I have several transaction of the same security, do I get the option to determine which ones are sold and bought at certain times?

This is called "specific identification." You can read about it in the FAQ's over there on the right ->.
If you don't make a specific identification of what you're selling before you sell it, you sold your oldest holding in that account.
