Bull, bull, bull, after five times there is no further effect on FICO.

Maybe the point should be made here is that complaint says the dealer sent the application to "nearly two dozen different financial institutions, some more than once".

This would have circumvented the "five times" rule because each bank could have pulled only one report, but they totaled 25 requests within four hours.

The dealer itself didn't pull the credit reports - the banks they sent the application to did.
