Hi Hedge,

The fund's NAV is subject to NAV movement, as the underlying bonds move each day. If you own the actual bond, it's NAV changes every day that it trades.

Buying the fund gives one an 'instant' bond ladder, and instant liquidity, if necessary, or desired.
