Like everybody else, we've seen computer/digital appliance stores close (I still want to see if I can find one of the cameras I'm considering in the flesh, though I'll buy it on line unless they can beat the price).
You do know that's why the stores are closing?
I don't buy online if it's available locally anymore because I want to touch and feel and look at things. Also I want my money to circulate in my local community.
Obligatory fixed income tie-in: local municipalities can only pay interest on their bonds (instead of going bankrupt) if the local tax base (ie, businesses) is strong.
