For centuries, people in many areas all over the world, have set aside a "season" in the month of December to celebrate.
What follows is a list of some of the activities that occur during this "season".
From this list of activities, can you determine what is being celebrated?
Again, we are in the month of December.
there is gift-giving, and the exchanging of gifts,
much feasting and drinking,
eating of human shaped biscuits, (think gingerbread men),
going door to door and singing ,
wreaths of evergreen boughs,
kissing under mistletoe branches hung over doorways .
ornaments of silver and gold, shaped like stars and orbs attached to evergreen trees,
Businesses and schools are closed in anticipation of an old, bearded, all knowing being who rides across the skies, rewarding the good and punishing the bad.
Think you know? The truth may shock or offend.
