I'm helping a friend with his taxes, simply because I'm a little more knowledgeable than him but I'm not an expert. We are using Turbo Tax.
He got divorced last year. We enter divorced and head of household for filing status.
But Turbo Tax does NOT eliminate his ex-spouse from the return. Do we need to do that manually? Or is there some reason to continue keeping her on the return? They can't file jointly can they?
