Elsewhere in a local NYC internet forum, I saw someone post a request for for a senior citizens services agency that services low-income senior citizens. They wanted things like used board games, knitting yarn, and other things. The novel idea (to me) is that they are using Amazon.com's wishlist feature (created by a volunteer) to solicit donations of items. I thought this was really neat and would allow I never considered that people, or small organizations, could effectively use the wishlist to use for getting small items. I am posting their link for reference (this is not a solicitation to donate, but if you are really inclined, by all means do so) as a possible reference point if you know of any other organizations that might find this handy. http://amzn.com/w/CJUFUPM0K4CE |
