I am 61, planning to retire in about 2 years. Since retirement is near, I have been keeping a large percent (70% to 75%) of my IRA and 401K in money market funds. I don't expect to need portion for at least 7 to 10 years. With money market interest so low, I'm seeking advice from the board for alternatives to money market. My other 27% is invested in fairly conservative equity (BRKB, MMM, CAT, CSCO, AA, MDT, PRPFX, plus some in Jubak fund and QTAA fund) Thanks Henry |
