I suggest investing in low cost index funds that cover entire markets, like a total stock market index fund, a total bond market index fund and a total international stock index fund. You might also consider a total international bond index fund (if there is one) and possibly a sprinkling of Treasury Inflation Protected Securities (TIPS) and Real Estate Investment Trusts (REIT), again in a total market type index fund if you can find them. Good luck.
