IIRC, your private policy goes up in price quite a bit every year. Are you in favor of delaying the start of Medicare beyond age 65, say to 67 or 70? It might cost you a great deal to continue purchasing your own policy at that age--and what if tea-baggers get hold of your state govt as well as the federal govt and allow insurance companies to resume dropping people with health issues--you could lose your insurance in that case, especially if you had to wait another 5 or 10 years for Medicare.>>

Washington States health insurance law was written by Republicans and insurance companies after the Democrat plan collapsed. There's been no interest in changing it, though anything is possible I suppose.

However, if you want to offer me a subsidy, you can send me a check any time.
