One doesn't have to necessarily use the table for pricing. That just provides some guideline. Alternatively, one could just scan the recent vessel transactions (page 1 & 2), and see if there have been any deals involving the type of vessel you are looking for. Course, there's no guarantee that you will find that specific vessel type on a given week. Again, Weberseas was just one broker. That was my "teach a man to fish" exercise. Can you explain what a evergreen pool is? A shipping pool is just that- a grouping or pooling of resources. Two or more shipping entities get together and combine their resources to negotiate better deals. An economies-of-scale, if you will. There's a Suezmax tanker pool called Gemini, a VLCC pool called Tankers International, etc. I'm guessing Evergreen is just the name of the pool, one that focuses on product tankers. |
