Really? You'd pay an extra $160/year in power costs to avoid paying $500 for a new refrigerator?
I rest my case.
We recently bought a new refrig. On sale for $100 off, plus a $50 rebate on the old one. They even picked it up (and cut off the power cord). Net out of pocket was around $150, iirc. Then we presumably save $$$ on electricity.
