"A 1980s fridge isn;t likely to make it another 15 years. Might as well replace now and start saving rather than in a few years."
It's a 1990 General Electric.....it has needed one repair in 20 years...a thermostat.....haven't even had to replace the light bulb.....
So it is 21 years old.
Who knows? That 1931 made it 80 years.
Why buy the crap they make these days? The service people tell you that you'll get 10 years out of them if you are lucky.
My old one probably has a 50/50 chance of making it until I'm 75, or 10 years.
It works fine. When it dies, I'll buy a new one.
