Here's the situation. DW has had income of her own (although much less than mine). She is now receiving SS based on that income. I intend to put off receiving SS now, boosting my (future) monthly payments. But, while I'm putting off claiming my own SS, can I get 1/2 of hers? And if I do receive that, will it have any effect on my own latter benefits, when I finally come to apply based on my own income?
