If you are average in terms of health, you should live to 31 years. Half people will live longer, half will die in less than 31 years.
80 - 65 = 15 years for average retirement.
15 times 12 times $380 equals $68,400
Do you think your investing skills will be that good?
Do you think your past employer will go bankrupt?
What level of inflation to you expect in the future?
The basic issues are how good an investor are you? How much of a control freak are you? and how long you will live?
Answer all those questions and I can give you a very accurate answer.
