This is a first for me. Client brings me his mother's tax data to prepare. Mother died in 2011 with a reverse mortgage on her home. Mother's records are a bit disorganized (to say the least).

Should I be looking for anything with regard to the reverse mortgage when preparing the mother's final tax return? (Note: I am not involved in doing the Estate's tax work at this time so I'm not concerned with documents that will be relevant to a future Estate income tax return.)
