Paul Ryan, linked the December 2008 idling of General Motors' Janesville, Wis., plant in his hometown with President Barack Obama.
Obama didn't take office until the next month, and the administration, in administering the existing auto bailout, made no decisions about plant closures.

THE FACTS: Ryan’s claim ignores the fact that Ryan himself incorporated the same cuts into budgets he steered through the House in the past two years as chairman of its Budget Committee,
