This reminds me that there are many good ides, but not time to do everything I think of.

One routine that works for me is to take a bag to the charity thrift store every month (Salvation Army here). I don't spend time deciding if I have enough to make a drop off worthwhile, I just plan to pick up what I have and take it away.
I loved this comment (prevention rather than cure) from someone who can only put glass into the trash where she lives
