If my wife keeps working till 66 which is sort of our plan she will be bringing home ~ $4,000/month, half of which will be social security and half from tax deferred investments. Won't she also have a pension or two from college teaching? And didn't she buy a rental property--or am I mixing Bonnie up with someone else's wife(!)? Anyway, you guys are gonna be sittin' pretty. I am thinking about buying a new big screen TV... That will be my splurge for the year. It's nice to have an annual splurge to look forward to, whether a special item like a great TV or a special experience like visiting Glacier Bay or Hanauma Bay, or seeing out of town friends & family like in NOrthern Michigan. |
