And if a particular site says you need to install in order to access the do you get around this?

I find another site offering a comparable service, and use that instead.

So I should find another broker for my IRA, Roth-IRA, Margin, and UGMA accounts so as to have one with a similar application for displaying my stocks and their current prices, and so on? They have an application (Java) that displays the stocks, tickers, low, high, etc., as well as graphs of prices over user-specified intervals, and so on, that update about once a second, give news, enable trades, all in one neat app. Very amusing, though I do not really need it as I do not day-trade. I actually need that about 2-month intervals.
