Of course they are, nobody really believes these new numbers,

Last night, I caught a bit of CNBC. One of the right wing talking heads was going on and on about how the jobs numbers were going to be higher than estimated because they "are being manipulated by Obama."

Perfect set-up that Rush Limbaugh uses all the time. Predict they'll manipulate the numbers. If the numbers look good, claim that you predicted it and that they aren't real. If they are bad, ignore your prediction and complain about how bad they are.

In the end, I think the numbers are what they are. Pretty tepid job growth. Not bad, but not great. About in line with what we've been seeing for the past year.

The number was basically in line with estimates. As recently as Wednesday, the estimate was for a range of 110,000--120,000.

Seriously, Jack, if you are going to accuse the President of manipulating jobs numbers, provide some evidence other than the fact that they tell a story you don't want to hear.
