At some point the burden will be too much. Which is why I brought up the point about curtailing the birth rate, especially within populations that have poor economic prospects. It may sound harsh and Orwell-ian, but the citizens of planet earth better start thinking through the fact that as productivity and efficiency increase, fewer people are needed. I would rather see people voluntarily start shrinking the population than the alternative. |
