Over what you ask? The governor signing a law requiring that schools set aside time for kids who want to say the Pledge of Allegience to do so:
Read the comments afterwards, amazing stuff!
This kind of crap is why my son is a Cub Scout. They say the pledge to start every meeting, saluting the flag in fact. There's also the Cub Scout Promise:
"I [name] promise to do my best,
to do my duty to God and my country,
to be helpful to others and
to obey the Law of the Pack."
The Law of the Pack:
"The Cub Scout follows Akela*,
the Cub Scout helps the pack go,
the pack helps the Cub Scout grow,
the Cub Scout gives goodwill."
*Akela means "good leader", basically people they should listen to like parents and teachers. I'm my son's Akela during our Scouting activities.
I'm not your typical Ann Arborites, lol!
