“She goes, ‘So?’” the author recalled. “I said, ‘I’m the one who writes the books,’ and she says, ‘What books?’
Loved the TV series and was happy they picked it up for a second season. I did a google to see if the show was based on any books. I might start reading them, I'm sure they'll be even better than the show.
I was/am a fan of the Jessie Stone series too (the author died recently but Tom Selleck was continue to write/produce more TV shows last I heard). There are definitely more layers and better back stories in books.
One funny thing about the first Jessie Stone book, the Jessie character is talking to a female and says, "who do you think I am, Tom Selleck?". Made me wonder if the author had him in mind if it was made into a movie.
