The UC Regents need to face reality. At the same time they were made double digit increases in tuition, they created a $300K position.

Assuredly there are too many/overpaid administrators, but the state money used to support the UC system has been absolutely gutted over the last 20 years.

When a business is faced with loss of revenue, it has to make difficult decisions. I still find it completely unacceptable that they are able to create extremely high paying positions while massively increasing tuition. Yes, their funding has been decreased. They need to face reality, and deal with the situation.

They are suppose to be in the business of educating California students. Their little ploy to decrease the number of in state students, so they can collect out of state tuition failed. It was attempted so late that few out of state students accepted. They denied in state students positions, and then weren't able to fill the classes.
