If you really want to know about catfish production in the US, it looks as if almost all of it sold in the US is farm raised. US production has been abt 500MM lb per year, but is falling. Producer gets about $1/lb; processor nets about half the wt, and gets abt $3/lb.

Shrimp is king at close to 950MM lb/yr. No catfish data suggests few imports.
