It certainly wont if no one tries.
Consider the discussion board format just for openers. It allows people to "question authority" in ways FAR more effective than a typical classroom.
People ridiculed the idea that computers would upend the music industry, the retail indistry, and newspapers and magazines, but that's what's happening.
The idea that computers and the internet wont upend conventional colleges is what is ludicrous.
